In many countries around the world, particularly those
within the commonwealth, participation and achievement
in sports is highly valued as a barometer of national
pride. Former President Obasanjo’s initiative in
authorizing a national lottery to support sports
development and good causes (mainly education, health
care and capacity building) demonstrates a vision for
the future of the Country as a unified and proud nation.
NSL Plc, as the holder of former president’s mandate to
implement the lottery (30-year license), carries a
significant responsibility, which still requires
resources, commitment and determination to discharge
successfully.
